Poll Results!

A few weeks back we put up a poll here on our blog, as well as asked over on YouTube for responses to whether or not you thought Takara Masterpiece Transformers were worth the price you paid for them.

Most of you picked that the era before Tracks was worth it.  That include from MP10 Optimus Prime to Star Saber.  I agree that some great ones were released then.  To name a few, Wheeljack, Soundwave, Optimus Prime, and the Datsuns.  All excellent figures.

I still say that the new ones are "worth" it.  Ironhide, Inferno, and Shockwave are excellent figures with wonderful engineering.  Inferno, especially so.

Now, I still say all are overpriced and could be cheaper, even if it's just $10.  But for the nostalgia fix, these MPs can't be beat.

Check out the top left corner for our new poll and vote!

Until next time....

Did I find anything on note?  Watch and you shall see.

Happy Toy Hunting!

Today, I will be going to work, and I've mentioned in videos past that my work is a merchandising route, so I visit 3 Wal*Mart Supercenters, and drive by a Target.  So I'll be hitting 4 stores today in my hunt for Titans Return Soundwave, Kickback, Brawn, Hot Rod, and Triggerhappy.

I also have 4 little girls.  An 11 year old, twin 5 year olds, and 4 month old.  So I'll also be hitting the girls aisle looking for My Little Pony, PJ Masks, Paw Patrol, Monster High Dolls, Ever After High Dolls, and DC Super Hero Girls.

I usually don't go out of my way for toy hunts anymore, considering the gas wasted.  Especially now when you can order online.  But, hey, I like the thrill of the hunt.  I'll be filming some of my hunt today while out, and I'll post it(combined with other video shot in the past 4 weeks) on YouTube by tomorrow.

If only my route went east, I'd get to hit a Toys R Us, another Wal*Mart, and a Super Target.  Oh well.

     Wish this weirdo luck.

Until next time, peace.

Toy Review: Titans Return Sharkticon GNAW!

Transformers Titans Return Gnaw has been found, and here's a video review I did of him.  More below!

Pros:

This figure is definitely a nice figure with decent articulation and not much hollowness except for part of his back.

Looks great in bot mode and even better in Sharkticon mode.

Excellent price point for building an army of Sharkticons (if you can find enough of them).

Cons:

This figure, even with how great he looks, has flaws.  His height is a problem as he is shorter than Bumblebee, Wheelie, and Rumble.

In Sharkticon mode, it would have been nice to have some mouth articulation.  I know for his size he's good and that adding more articulation would be hard.

Would have been better as a deluxe class figure.

**************

This figure was found at a Walmart as they seem to be unpacking these around the USA.  Hit them up and maybe you'll be lucky enough to find one.

Also don't forget to vote in our poll in the upper right corner!  Poll ends early Monday morning, and results will be used in a YouTube video on our channel.

Transformers Fan Fiction

Hello all, and welcome to another blog posting by the ever eager Soundwave8084.  Today's topic is fan fiction.

Now I've worked with this for a while now. Started my own Transformers fan fiction story over on fanfiction.net.  I've also been a writer on the Transformers Virtual Extention.

The Transformers Virtual Season 4 has lost some writers and is now in need of new ones. Visit here to have a look at the project.

There's already 3 "episodes" there for your reading pleasure, plus have a look around and maybe join up and help out!

The project is in need of writers and artists!

Thanks for your time and until the next one!

Non-Transformers related!!! Friends Season 2 Review with Brandy!

This was shot back in August of 2016 on the same day as our season 1 review, hence why we're wearing the same clothes.  My camera was busy uploading episode #1, so we used Brandy's phone camera, so the quality might not be as good.  Plus I had to use a editor app from her phone.

Also, this was shot while she was still pregnant, and the baby came 5 weeks early, or just over a week after this was shot.  That's the main reason why she hasn't done anymore and why I've also been slow on releasing/making new videos.  Our time is very taken with 4 kids.

Transformers is my first love, and I'm sure most of our followers are also Transformers fans, but I like to include her in things and Friends was one of her favorite TV shows.

If you made it this far, thanks for visiting and here's the video.

Review of Titans Return Astrotrain & Darkmoon

It's Astrotrain!  And now, he's a Headmaster!  Oh well, I'd preferred he didn't have that gimmick, but it is what it is.  Honestly, it doesn't detract from the figure, except that you have to remove it every time you transform him, otherwise he has visible head syndrome.  Has to be removed for train mode though!

In my opinion, he's an excellent interpretation and update or the original character.  In fact, I like him so much, that I wish he was Leader Class scale so I can plop him onto my Masterpiece shelf as a stand in until a more cartoon accurate one is made.  (Come on Fans Toys, MMC, or Badcube)

He has problems, and that's mostly his train mode.  Shuttle is fine, but the train suffers from "too skinny and long" syndrome.  My figure also has a loose left knee, but that might only be my copy.

Pros of the figure include the ability to tab in his hands while in robot mode, articulation, and overall look.

Here's a video review of him, and I also compare him to the original Generation One toy.

Thanks for visiting and til all are one!
